Calling all Yale 2008 applicants

you can definitely land consulting position after yale. they place 15% of their class in consulting positions.

Any R3 applicants here? If so, have you heard anything? I haven't heard diddly and it's been over a month.

does Yale update your application status after you've interviewed (from interview scheduled to interview completed)? or do they just update w/ a decision?

Welcome weekend was great...i love the school. It's exciting to go to a school with so much change and improvement.

Did they provide any insight to number of students waitlisted during admit weekend?

I did not hear anyone comment on waitlist %, however, I did hear a rumor that the acceptance rate was around 10%.

Any round 3's still waiting for an interview?

lanter, I realize that you are already admitted, so these things may seem utterly unimportant and a waste of time to you now....but could you give us a complete rundown of your weekend at Yale?

I would love to know what your classmates are like, what kind of activities you participated in, if you met any other admits that were seriously debating between Yale and another school (which school, why), Did you see the grad housing? How was it? Where are most admits planning on livnig? Was there any commonality that you could see in all the admits (aside from being intelligent, outgoing, hard working etc)? From what you could tell, were most single or married/in a serious relationship?
