Surprisingly, I've found the help function in Excel to be fairly useful.

Do they have a help with the whole program function? :) It's been 6 years.

Oh no, I meant any specific stuff I wanted to do on excel which I couldn't piece together, I just googled.

I've found a lot of help from this website:

https://www.mrexcel.com/

More specifically this part of that website:

https://www.mrexcel.com/articles.shtml

At the end of the Articles link is this link:

https://www.exceluser.com/help/index.htm- headed there now to check it out.

The dashboard thing looks pretty cool. Let me know if you want to try it out. PM me.

You can also try the official Microsoft Office training programs - it's on their website here:

https://office.microsoft.com/en-us/train ... 01033.aspx

This is what I use when I want to learn a new Office program ... it's probably not going to be as detailed as one of the specialized books (eg. John Walkenbach's book on VBA for instance) but does give a good intro.

BTW, is anyone peeved that Excel 2007 swtiched all their menus around, and now all the short-cut keys you memorized don't work?

Gosh yes. It's taken me a while to learn the new menus. One bonus: it does freeze/crash a whole lot less than the old excel used to! :)
