It seems that people on this forum think that the Langone program values employment stability but does that apply to all fields? I graduated in 2002 after the tech-bubble burst. My undergrad major was in Computer Science so I ended up hopping jobs a lot. I-95 (aka the technology belt) around Boston, where I moved to after graduation, was heavily influenced by the downturn. Will this be a negative in the eyes of the admissions committee even though I was always employed? It was very common for people to be unemployed for months yet I always found work.
If this is a negative, how do I address and counter it in my application? I'm assuming showing vertical career progression has something to do it it, no?
It will be negative, but as long as you can give good explanation/reasoning, it should be ok. What's a good reason? I'm sure there are many, but it definitely should not involve money.
