Hello Guys,
Finally I got 700 in my third trial (M48 V38). I had 660 in each time in my previous exams so this was kind of my last shot at GMAT. I was hoping for 710-720 but I guess there is not much difference.
After my second disappointment of 660 I really put my head down and studies hard for both sides. I did not get much use from Kaplan 800 but I got
OG 10th edition instead of 11th ed. and the supplements. This book and the explanations in it are way better than OG11. Then I did 1000SC which I recommend to everybody. It certainly improves speed and accuracy.
Exam day;
The essay part was easy. I got through them with no problem. Then I got to Math. Questions in the quant section were noting like GMATPREP or
OG or any other practice material. It got me off my game with first questions. Most of the questions were word problems and word problem DS questions. Lots of geometry and number theory. And the way the questions were constructed was really different than the questions in the practice material. In my opinion GMAT is getting wierder each day:)) Anyway with some dissappointment I got through Quant.
Contrary to quant, verbal was a breeze. Especially reading..I was really on top of verbal questions. For SC and CR nothing out of the ordinary. So I was really pleased with the verbal section overall. Actually I thought I would get higher than 38.
BTW...I got to talk to a fellow GMAT taker.. His score was 48M 36V and still got 700. How can this be??? Does somebody know how many mistakes in verbal get you a 38?
Thanks to everybody in the club for their help.
Now it is time for applications.
Take care
