Whereas previously the UE tier was split up as such:

1. H/S
2. W
3. Chi/Col/K/MIT

I have a feeling that in the near future, it will be:

1. H/S
2. W/Chi
3. Col/K/MIT

The school's selectivity also may start to reflect this fairly soon.

Agold -- It's probably not going to ever change. I know there are people wanting to put GSB in the next group but that's just not reality. But to imply GSB gets above the others just doesn't make sense. It's all cyclical, but in the longterm, I doubt thinks change that much.

Ya, with all respect, I really don't see any reason to think this will happen either. In fact, according to US News, Chicago's been ranked behind Kellogg and MIT in this third tier for at least the last few years. I'm not saying Chicago couldn't jump, but I don't think there's any reason to think they've got a better chance of doing that than Col/K/MIT (and honestly, Wharton's still a pretty big step above all of these 4 schools).

We're at 53% so far on interview invites. Let's see what happens the next couple of days. Good luck to everyone.

Well these changes even at the US-news ranking, don't take that long:

But I agree, now competition is much tougher.

phew. finally invited to interview. rhyme - I couldn't have gotten this far with your help. And kwam too - seeing your powerpoint slide taught me a lot on what I could do with mine - even though mine didn't turn out half as good as yours. And I am so grateful to sudden who took a personal interest in helping me improve my writing for my essays.

And for those wondering why I am acting like I have just been accepted to the school - well I was denied last year without an interview invite, so this feels really good : :-D

Are there any other re-applicants from PY that were waitlisted still waiting for an interview so far this year?

Alright! finally it happened to me too....just saw "Congratulations" and my heart was like ....

I second mbagal2011 on help. Although I am a passive participant here, but, I have also benefited "A LOT" from their pointers/posts/tips/etc etc.

Moderator, do you mind putting my name under R1s...though it is a bit late, but not too late :P
