Re: University of Phoenix [#permalink]
one of my formers managers has an mba from university of phoenix. for him, it was just a merit badge he needed to earn before he could get that next promotion, so he chose the path of least resistance.

Re: University of Phoenix [#permalink]
but most companies wont pay for online schools too, at least not for those without national accreditation. After all, u can hire someone to complete this program for you online!

Re: University of Phoenix [#permalink]
Funny article on how Intel dropped University of Phoenix from its list of schools for reimbursement.

https://www.consumeraffairs.com/news04/2 ... oenix.html

Funniest quotes:

1) its stock price has tumbled amid revelations about its low graduation rate -- 16 percent, among the nation's lowest -- and concerns that its largely part time faculty is delivering less than a first-rate education.
2) "I attended University of Phoenix for five classes. I have found that they literally give A's away,"
3) "I enrolled thinking UOP would be a great fit for my lifestyle. After enrolling I started my first class. This was a waste of time. The 'teacher' was awful. ... I wanted my degree very badly so I decided to give the school one more chance. My second class was just as bad. The teacher was better, but the problem is I learned nothing. My book was never used and I still got an A."
