see you soon peaceyall!

I would say 80-90% live in the East Bay, and 10% live in SF. Your first year you're spending most of your day on campus anyways, so living near by is very useful. The ones who live in SF either originally live there or have significant others who work down in Silicon Valley and it's a compromise.

Alright, that was a crazy Super Saturday today! I have to head out to another officer retreat tomorrow at 6am, so I'll keep this short.

It was AWESOME to meet many of you today (weezy25, chickmagloor, and peaceyall). Were any other SS invites there? If so, PM me.

wolffali - Invited to SS Interview (12/8)
mindruna - Invited to SS Interview (12/22)
MBAngst - Invited to SS Interview (12/10)
SolarMBA - Invited to SS Interview (12/17)

I had so much fun chatting with many of you and wish all of you the best of luck in this competitive season! Let's knock 'em dead and get tons of GC admits on the 28th!!!

Are international applicants at a disadvantage if they apply for Round 3 in Haas?

I don't see why they would be? I think as long as you don't apply R4, you should be ok. Unless there are some Visa issues involved? If there is, that should be on the website.

- Masters majoring in Medical software (High Grades)
- GMAT - 720 (Q-49, V-39)
- 6 Years workex in a leading Healthcare IT company. Worked my way up. Recognized as an emerging leader out of 400 employees. Assembled and led a team to deliver a project which bought in 3 new clients.

hi woncosmo, I think your background is competitive and it will depend on how you tell your work experience and leadership stories. I suggest you research the healthcare offerings of Haas and talk to the MBA/MPH students so you can make your essays more personal.

Good luck!

MBAAspirant,

As long as you have a confirmation that they received your application, calling them will not help. There is still a chance of either getting a very late interview invite or be waitlisted and interviewed with the Round 2 pool. Keep your hopes up!

Thanks a lot Kryzak.

I have one problem though. My current supervisor is refusing to give me any recommendation because the project I am leading is a high priority one and is bringing in new clients to the company.

I can take a recommendation from my former supervisor with whom I had worked earlier.

Will this affect my app?

as long as both your recommendations is from supervisors or clients or people who can evaluate you (NOT peers or subordinates) well, you're fine. You will need to comment on why you didn't pick your current supervisor, but that should be fine.

Hey all! You can add me to R2!

Going to use some vaycay to visit Haas in February. Really looking forward to getting on campus!!

FYI for others looking to do class visits, the HSA said the registration for visits will go online around Jan 30th.

My application status still shows "invited to interview". Does anyone else's? I'm really hoping my interviewer submitted his feedback!

Fingers crossed for next week!

Good luck to all you R1 applicants next week. Just try to relax and enjoy the lunar new year! (kung hei fat choi)

Hopefully the R2 invites will go out sooner than last year; the suspense is too much. :)

The calm before the storm. Still wishing the best of luck to our 9 interviewed GC members and those who are still waiting. Don't give up, as many people get on the W/L without interview and then get admitted in R2.

Here's the updated stat page. Add yourself if you're applying R2 or R3, and also post if you get an interview!

Cheers!
