Dushver,
There are 7 questions not 3. When you see the document, wait for few seconds before it will show u the questions in second page.
Also, please tell the total time you guys took to read the passage and answer the questions.

I have exceeded the limit till tommorow evening now. I can understand that for lot of people doing RC questions in this forum is not a very interesting idea ( even iam one of them..:) ) , but I sincerely encourage you guys to attempt this RC. This is a real GMAT RC..and you guys will certainly find something like this in real GMAT. It will only take 10 min or so..but it's worth an effort and it will tell you that how you fare vis a vis others.
cheers

Crackgmat750, appreciate the RC initiative. We should do this more often. (I will try to scan some tonight). The passage you had chosen was also little interesting.

4 minutes to read.
11 minutes to answer.
15 minutes total.

My answers:
BCACBBA

I guess we should discuss specific questions, once the asnwers are out.

I hope it was not a long wait for the participants. The only reason I delayed was because I wanted more and more people to participate. But it seems not many people are interested in solving Rc's in this forum.:(
Nevertheless, I will be posting couple of rc's more and hope that participants increase.
Original Answers are :

1. B
2. E
3. A
4. C
5. C
6. B
7. B

I took around 4 minutes to read the RC and 6 minutes for the questions.
I did 3rd and 5th question incorrect..and still cannot understand the correct answers .
I think eevrybody did 5th question incorrect..it was simply a beastly question..and god save anybody who has to do this type of question under 2 minutes during the exam!! Can anybody attempt to explain why C is correct.. I thought when passage used some literary phrases, it is using literary analogy..I thought that no where passage explains the defination of terms..so marked B instead.
Only srijay has 3rd correct I think.. buddy can you explain the choice A? These type of questions scare me..
Looking forward to some more discussion.

Regarding Q3
It is clearly A ... The author starts the para describing Modernism (note he doesnt start criticizing at this point! he just states the general principles). Then he mentions how people dont like Modernism (aka challenges M face). Then he says that a new postmodernism mvt starts (aka consequences of the challenge).

I got 5 and 7 wrong!!!! :(
Can anyone explain why C is correct and D is wrong in Q5! I am sure I missed something in the psg

Thanks Srijay for the explanation..but i feel C in 3rd question is a strong contender too.i mean in exam confitions u can easily get confused . As said in C, there are specific examples( cathedrals, churches, banks) of a theory( modernism) given and reactions to those examples are discussed ( people complaning, architects acknowledging etc).
I admit A is more correct, but just imagine during the exam conditions..when u have 2 min per question, u might get confused.
Even after doing so many rc's..sometimes i wonder that how difficult it is to be 100% accurate.

In C they dont mention the 1st half of the para.
If C said ....
A theory was defined. Specific examples to the theory were given and reactions to those examples .... etc . then it wud be correct

For these kinda Qs try to draw a mental flowchart and map it to all ans choices.

I know sometimes when under time constraints, it gets tough to think straight! And believe me .. that's my biggest scare !!!
