I didn't need to be convinced to come to Duke --
I had already sent my deposit in before the weekend started -- but I felt like I left with a better idea of career options and preparation, and it was exciting to meet so many of our classmates. This August is going to be great.
Too bad, you could have been one of those people who ran to the admissions table at the dinner waving their deposit check over their heads to the thunderous applause of the room.
I thought the weekend was very well done too. Duke really goes all out! I didn't really learn a whole lot more about Duke (a few specifics here and there), but it really helped confirm that my initial impressions of the school weren't just window dressing.
The schedule was kinda of interesting. Both Friday and Saturday night had events at the local bars with Fuqua providing transportation back to the hotels until 1 am. However, the events on Sat and Sun morning started at like 8am. There were more than a few people dragging ass.
I didn't have high expectation for the FuquaVision presentation, but it actually turned out to be very funny.
The drunk admit at the end of the dinner who tried to thank the organizers of the weekend but failed to form a coherent sentence was also entertaining.
And I don't know about you guys, but from what I could see the Fuqua Foxes of Class of 2011 will not disappoint!
