First, I would say get a feel for both schools via (school visit, current student vibe, etc..). Also take into consideration how you like the location of each school.

If these factors are equal, than as a international applicant, I would prefer Ross due to the money. Both schools I feel will equally open doors, and both Ross and Tuck seem to be making great strides school wise.

Both Ross and Tuck seem to have good placements into consulting, so I think you won't be limiting your career options if you choose Ross. I think it comes down to your personal preferences/financial situation.

Re: Ross with $$ or Tuck [#permalink]
I would take a look at a couple of factors:
- location: you'll be freezing cold at either school, do you have a strong preference for Michigan over NH?
- class size: I think comparatively, Ross is a lot bigger than Tuck. Do you have a preference for smaller vs larger class size?
- elective classes: both schools will give you a great general management education, but which one has more electives of interest to you?
- hypothetically, if you can't do consulting, which school has stronger placement for your back-up option?

Personally, I'm a huge fan of Tuck. All the alums I spoke with from that program are incredibly nice, down-to-earth and even when I was just an undecided admit, were willing to offer career advice, etc. The main reason I ultimately decided against it was that Hanover was a bit too small for my liking, in comparison with Evanston or Chicago. I didn't apply to Ross, so am not as familiar with their program.

LOL - my company uses M for thousand as well and MM for million

Anyway I applied to both Ross and Tuck - I loved both schools for different reasons as isa mentioned my backup/minor concentration is energy and I'm looking to get into consulting. Ross had far better energy placements and I really enjoyed the school. I think you've got to visit both almost half the people I talked to at GBR were deciding between Ross and Tuck. You can't go wrong either way but geographical preference and other factors make these schools unique in good ways - pick the best fit for you.
