How long is the optional break on the GMAT? [#permalink] New post  20 Sep 2009, 17:20
10 minutes or 8 minutes?

Some people are reporting it is 8 minutes. Others are saying it is 10 minutes.

It used to be 10 minutes now its 8 minutes.

8 mins, which is not much time at all taking into consideration you have to check in/out every time you come in or leave.

its 8 minutes but it gives you an extra minute past that to read the directions for the next session... Its a nice chance to get relaxed before the next session.

it is actually 8 + 2. :D

You can cancel both though, if you want to!

1 thing to know which isn’t available online is that, when you return from the break and click to proceed to the section, a screen with instructions for that section will appear. This screen I believe lasts for 120 secs. You can use this time for plugging in your ear plugs or jotting something on your scratch pad! :)
