Hi all,

I'm thinking about R2

Just took the GMAT and got 730 :(
I also have a very low - GPA 6.96 out of 10. Thinking of retaking the GMAT to compensate.

I would consider retaking 730 insane!

It already compensates your lower GPA

It's a decent score, I know. What puts me off is the fact that it's a bellow avg. score among my colleagues at work (I don't know why but the other 2 people I know attending INSEAD as we speak got 760s) and also the fact that I had a bad day on test day so it might not be that hard to get something better.
That being said I am in no mood to take it again just on account of ego so I am trying to decide exactly how much I have to work on compensating my horrible and embarrassing GPA  :?

I felt the same as you did (especially on the Quant. section).
I was very close to doing it again, but at the end of the day I decided that it is good enough score.
Without giving any specific advice, you can see higher GMAT's dinged and lower ones accepted.
At the end of day, as i understood from admissions, the emphasis on the GMAT is lesser than on other traits...
good luck with what you choose

The event starts with the opening word of the Dean. With fact figures, stats, interenstion info about the program. Then he leads the presentation. Then there is a 2 h masterclass, try-a-mba-class-time:) then there is a break and during the second part adm.com answers questions...

Actually I'll attach the info from the event!!! After the even there is a coctail patry, wher you can meet a lot of people, students and future students. I even exchanged contacts with some of them, and still email.

Event is really great!!! Where are you coming from for the event?

Thanks for all the info Artuurss - lots of detail there! :) I'll be coming from London.

hi :)

I'm also planning to apply for INSEAD Sep 2010 intake and have started on my essays.
Does anyone know how much is the acceptance rate in R2 as I've already missed R1 ?

Thanks a ton,
Ubuntu :)

Submitted for R1.

After a final glitch making a payment, I accidentally pressed the enter button before entering the card no! and it didnt allow me again to pay.. !! Kept saying your payment cannot be processed.. Could finally manage to pay using a different card link..

Now the wait begins, but off to LBS essays, which I havent even started!!!

I believe most schools only concider you a reapplicant if you reapplied within 2 years. Some US schools even say they destroy old files after 2 years.

Hello OMJ,

Thank you for volunteering. Now that I have submitted my R1 app, how can I start preparing for an interview (I hope I do get a call!). Any tips and areas I should be prepared. Thanks.

Hi humblewinner,

I've written on my very own INSEAD interview(s) experiences, and added a whole post on interview tips with a pdf attached there containing all the possible interview questions I had culled from the internet and other sources. It's available for download from my blog site. Unfortunately, I can't attach it here, since I just joined and need to rake up some more posts before I can attach them. You can visit:
"insideinsead DOT wordpress DOT com" to read the full details there and download the pdf.

Hope this helps!
