This is something really interesting.

I thought even though, though and although were supposed to express negative situations but positive outcomes
while
inspite of and despite are used express positive situations but negative outcomes.

I spent some time on bartleby and webster and I am not so sure of that...

Do you guys have a 100% efficient trick to use these conjunctions / prepositions ?

Although is always used when a subject and verb both are present in a clause/part of a sentence. - This is one mistake that I encountered very often and really helps in eliminating the wrong options.

Despite is used when it is followed by a noun.
