Calling all Darden Fall 2010 Applicants!

Anyone here if they've started sending out interview invites yet? Per Sarah Nehar's web message they should have started going out between end of last week and beginning of this week but still quiet here and on BW. Kind of creepy...

I was wondering the same thing, but I think given that it's so quiet, it's safe to say that no invites has gone out yet. It sounds like Darden does a mass invite.

For roll call purposes, I applied to Darden R1.

Sara Neher's latest video blog (November 24th) states that Interview Invitations will NOT start going out until next week due to Thanksgiving. So for those of you worried, myself included, looks like we shouldn't start getting worked up until after the holiday. The video blog also talks about the International Student Loan programs, some of which will NOT require a US Co-signer for those interested in that. See more below:

thanks ACNGuy. Thats good to know. I wish there would be someway to speed this process up for Darden. Jan 29 is so far. ugh.. I am just being lazy as I dont want to do r2 apps if i get in at Darden.

Well I thought today would be the day that they'd start rolling out interview invites but alas, nothing that I've heard of. Hopefully tomorrow is the day.

Because interviews start on December 7th, this weekend, does Darden really expect people to be able to make it by then? I would assume the majority of those interviewing this weekend would be those in the DC and surrounding area as booking a plane ticket this late would be VERY expensive.

Obviously I'm not complaining and will wait patiently, I just think its a little suspect to wait this long to send out invites when they require us to interview on campus.

Anyone know how long we have to complete an interview if/when we receive an invite? I would imagine it's got to be a couple of weeks...

Anyway, I wish you all the very best in the upcoming days/weeks. I think Darden is my top choice right now and I'm just praying this wait is worth it!

Hey ACNguy, don't sweat it too much, no one has gotten invites yet. The video said the interview starts on the 7th, but will really kick off on the 11th. You can also interview in January, so there'll be plenty of time to book your plane ticket.
It sounds like Darden is going to release all the interviews at once. I give them props for that. It sucks waiting for interviews when others have already received them.

After spending almost 7 months on the waitlist last year the delay is not really surprising. It is annoying since earlier video blogs said interview invites would start going out the week before Thanksgiving. I honestly think they know who they want to interview and probably are having issues with the new crappy application system that has a million glitches.

The first day interviews were released last year was the Wednesday before Thanksgiving so it really isn't that much different than last year if they start rolling out tomorrow.

Winter break also starts on Dec 11th so I imagine many interviews will be conducted in July.

I got my interview invite too! Congrats to everyone that found out! To those that haven't yet, best of luck. Let's do this everyone!
