Well guys and gals, Black Friday 2009 is almost upon us. For those of you who are not from the US, Black Friday is typically considered to be the busiest shopping day of the year in the US. It is the day after Thanksgiving, where stores slash their prices in the hopes of enticing mass numbers of shoppers into their stores (it is called "Black" Friday because it has been said that for many stores, this day marks the first time in the year that stores begin operating "in the black" as opposed to in the red).
In the past, I've tended to stay away from the huge shopping centers, as parking is a nightmare, and all the good deals are gone unless you camp outside the store for 10+ hours
. I'd rather spend an extra $30 or $40 and not have to spend my time freezing outdoors.
However, I do like to go to the smaller stores and pick up electronics at discounted prices. This year, here is a list of things I want to get, along with prices and location. Feel free to add in your own intended purchases:
--
Desktop PC, Compaq Presario, $230, Office Depot (gift for my mom, as her desktop PC is verrrry slow and old)
Webcam, Logitech C600, $40, Staples (regular price is about $80, so this is a great deal; probably going to get one for myself, one for the gf)
Printer, HPJ4680, $65, Sears.com (part of my mom's christmas gift. her current printer is broken. this is a nice all-in one, and it's wireless)
happy shopping!
