Re: Calling all Darden Fall 2010 Applicants! [#permalink]
A question to all Round 1'ers who have completed most of the Darden Admission requirements. The checklist regarding the photos says this

"A digital photo is required for each incoming student. Business attire is strongly recommended, since the photo is used for the Darden Directory and is on display in the Darden lobby during your enrollment. A head shot photo (from your shoulders up) is also recommended."

I had assumed the digital phot was a head shot? If they are saying a head shot is also recommended what is the first photo of? Is there a shot with top of shoulder and then a shot without shoulders?

Only one picture is needed. They're saying it should be:

a) In business atire
and
b). From your shoulders up

Lol, wow, I didn't get that from the paragraph at all. Probably explains my 35 in Verbal.

Thanks ACNGuy!

My pleasure, I admit not worded very well especially after I re-read it when trying to see how you were interpretting it.

In the process of getting everything organized for Darden Days. Arriving on Thursday afternoon and I am looking forward to meeting everyone on Friday.

I am staying at the DoubleTree - are there any other Gmatclubbers staying there who would like to share a cab into the city either Thursday night or Friday morning? I just realized it is not within walking distance! Send me a PM

Have any RD 3 candidates heard back yet? I'm guessing the initial "by Darden Days" line of thought is no longer on the table....

Applied: 3/31
Notified for Interview: 4/9

JnJthenMBA and I are in the same boat as you. There was one girl who wrote (check thread page 52-54) that she received a Round 3 acceptance on Thursday, April 20, which was the same day I interviewed. My time line is the same as yours with the exception of the interview.

Re: Calling all Darden Fall 2010 Applicants! [#permalink]
In reading previous posts, it looks like all R1 and R2 applicants found out the day before the posted decision date, so it would make since for us to not find out until May 11th.

The only reason that I am hopeful for an earlier date is because Sara Neher's blog mentioned that they have been notifying R3er's since last week. I also think we should find out sooner because all of our interviews were well before the stated start date of April 22. All of this being said, I think the next most relevant date for R3 applicants is this Monday when deposits are due for the R2 accepted.

I guess my questions are:

1. Have any R3 applicants heard anything since interviewing?
2. Do you guys think we are going to have to wait for another excruciatingly painful 2 weeks?

I am pretty sure the girl who got in is in a separate candidate pool since she is doing a JDMBA, so I don't know if we can count her in our boat...

I got a waitlist update email the other day. Basicly said they are still in the process of reviewing final applicants. I imagine after deposits on monday they will have a better picture on the number of spots they still have open and giving more calls. Or I suppose they may just wait, until may 10th to call people. Either way, it is not that much longer.
