Let me share my own experience.
First, Warwick Business School Distance Learning Programme
offers not an online MBA degree but a Warwick MBA that can
be pursued and earned via the Distance Learning mode. So in
my opinion, that means you can earn Warwick MBA (identical
to those candidates in other modes: full time or executive)
while paying less.
Second, it started offering career workshops and placement
schemes those may be useful for a career switcher.
Regarding the ROI, that will be varies from person to person.
I think what you will earn after earning post MBA will not only
depend on the prestige of the MBA but also on your previous
experience, residency and citizenship, industry, roles, etc..
I think the strength (and perhaps the opposite) of Warwick
MBA by DL is that majority of the candidates are working in rich
countries (read as high pay), established careers (managers,
experienced professionals), some are already senior managers,
some do not reportees but they do probably earn salaries close
to or higher than managers. Those who are based in overseas
(read as less affluent parts of the world), are managers or senior
managers. So pre and post MBA difference for MBA degree will
not be that much. For me, I take it as an asset as I will not be
sitting with fresh graduates or those without significant work
experience or who never worked in real international work places.
Warwick DL exceeds my expectations.
