Lyca gives her dog a cup of dog food twice during the day. For two years, she gave her dog Cat brand dog food every day, and the dog stayed at approximately the same weight throughout the two years. Recently her local grocery stopped carrying Cat brand products and so she has switched to Pup brand dog food. She has noticed that after a month on Pup brand dog food the dog has gained five pounds. All of the following questions would be relevant in determining what role the new dog food has had in the dog's weight gain EXCEPT A Did the dog eat all of the Cat brand dog food that was given to her every day? B Is Pup brand dog food less expensive, by weight, than is Cat Brand dog food? C Do Cat brand dog food and Pup brand dog food have the same amount of calories in a cup of food? D Are pieces of Cat and Pup brand dog foods shaped differently in such a way that a cup of Cat brand dog food might carry less food in weight than does a cup of Pup brand dog food? E Has the dog received less exercise on average over the last month than during the previous two years?

b is the right one. only be is different (matter of economics). can't be e since it is a factor of "dog diet" (function of calories) like the other answers.
