I was asked what my contribution to the class and the school would be during my interview. I felt like they were really concerned with the class atmosphere and my ability to fit in the class, and help create bonds between classmates. Just be yourself, think about which clubs you would like to join, what they do and why you'd like it. My interview was on campus. Maybe an alumni won't ask you these questions.
The buddy programme means the MiM adcom will give you the contact info of one 2010 MiM, who will be your buddy. This allows you to ask questions, get some advice and eventually meet a current student.
Hi guillaumeverdier, thanks so much for your reply. I actually had my interview on Monday already.
My interviewer was incredibly friendly, easily the friendliest stranger I have ever met in my life. She first started off asking why I chose my undergrad university/course and then why lbs/career and some conflict management questions as mentioned by most of you(thanks so much!). She didn't actually ask me other questions that I expected like strength/weakness/my contribution.
and i think she really knew my application well and asked all the questions without even looking at my cv or essay answers. she didn't take any notes as well, and she particularly said at the beginning even if she did that didnt mean it's gd or bad. either way, i think she has really good memory.
but she did ask an interesting scenario-based question as the last question which was if i were a project manager for making the traffic going in the opposite direction in the UK(i.e. cars go forward on the left side of the road), how would I manage the project?
Thinking back at how I answered the questions, I really think I screwed up most of them although I initially left with a good feeling as we were laughing all the time and she was really friendly. but the point is you really never know what she's actually thinking in her mind.
anyway, i think this's a gd exp nonetheless to get to know in depth LBS and even myself. and thanks so much to everyone for being so helpful
i would love to help any R4 applicants who are yet to be interviewed, ask me anything!
