Re: Colored userid [#permalink]
I suspect that one has to be a forum moderator or have thousands of posts and many kudos. In other words, one has to be an authority. I might PM bb on the issue and to find out.

I am sure there was a post about this sometime back but I can't find it... Forum home page at the bottom, you can see some of the legends (color id representation)... but I guess it would be nice to have this entire list of color legends on the home page for ease of new users :)

Thanks for the information MJ2009! Kudos! Although it wouldn't be very masculine, a hot pink or purple name might look good. White would also be interesting.

I believe it's a phpBB mod that the admin (maybe managers based on permission) have access too, it's going to be a special css class that they are privy to change?

Re: Colored userid [#permalink]
No, I think this color scheme is used for ppl in certain special groups, legends, such as which B-schools they are admitted to. I have listed 2 cases where they are admitted to schools and I am not, yet, but they have other stats less than me 8-)

Re: Colored userid [#permalink]
I thought that the color user ids were for: forum moderator, people in b-school, alumni, and etc.

I think there's a sticky in the main bschool application forum that explains all the different colors. They represent forum roles (red=admin, blue=BOD, green=global mod) or student/alumni status (all the other colors).

Re: Colored userid [#permalink]
hi everyone,

We chose school colors to represent official school colors. Duke', for example, is Prussian Blue. Harvard's color is Crimson. As I quickly found out, there are too many schools with similar colors, so we will have to come up with a better system. :)

Admins - Red
Board of Directors - Blue -- These are members chosen for their contributions and service.

Is this on a request basis for the school colors?

If add your information to the "Where are you going" thread in the b-school application forum, you would be included (I update once a week or so)
