Unfortunately yes. You will have much easier time with transcript and such but i would check with your target schools. After all, should not be hard.

OK, there is still a lot of time for me to apply to B-schools.
BTW, I am planning on attending a summer school program at Cambridge university in the next year.They have that 100 point TOEFL requirement and my score will not be expired until then.Do you think getting that certificate from Cambridge may waive my requirement later on when I apply to B-school ?I plan on applying to Harvard b-school after my junior year .
It is not that I am afraid of taking the TOEFL again, it`s just the $180 may be spend for more useful things like buying GMAT prep materials or retaking the exam if I am not satisfied with my score

You don't need toefl to top 10 for sure, if your uni official language is English. It does not matter where the school is located, and where accredited. Check school by school requirements for other schools though.
As for Europe, I just talked to admission officers of LBS and such on the phone and they immediately waived toefl for me. I still need it for American schools though, my English is fine, but my uni official language was not English.

You had your TOEFL requirement waived just because you spoke in English with an admission officer ?!

Yes, on the phone. I explained that my major was English at uni, and the adcom at LBS told me on the phone that requiring toefl from me would be ridiculous as I clearly speak very well English. She later confirmed it by email. Toefl was also waived for me without any discussion at two top Spanish BSs.
However adcom at harvard and stanford explained to me that since my uni language of instruction was not English, I still should take toefl, and I did. Go to Stanford page, it's quite clear there who should take toefl and who doesn't have to.

I am almost sure that for top 20 in the US I would waive toefl requirement as easily as in Europe. Toefl is just so much easier than getting a uni equiv. of master in English linguistics and literature. I don't know why it's not clear to American top 10 schools. But they require toefl even for native speakers who studied in another language!

lol, I have visited so many web sites of colleges and B-schools and the one of Stanford is the most organized and helpful !
According to it, if my native language is not English but my uni official one is, I am not required to take the TOEFL.However, if I were a native speaker studying in a non-English uni, it would be mandatory to take the TOEFL :D

Why do you think it is ridiculous not to be asked to take TOEFL if you have studied all your college classes in English ? It would be insulting for your institution, to say the least, to be required to take the TOEFL.

I have a couple of queries regarding NUS and Nanyang business schools and i am not sure if such queries are asked before.I am new to the forum and pardon me if i have repeated a question.

1.Is it mandatory to have TOEFL or IELTS score for NUS and Nanyang business school?I have done my engineering from India(did it from an NIT) and all subjects were taught in english.Even we follow a grade point system quite similar to US universities(ours is out of 10).My point is do i have to produce some documents during the application process to show that my graduation was in english?

2.Can you suggest some good B schools in Asia where we dont need to take toefl?
