Just got back from the testing center! I ended up with a 760. I'm pretty pleased with it, but it was a touch lower than my GMATPrep scores.

Folks, the GMAT is getting harder. There's no denying it. The quant portion was substantially more difficult than GMATPrep. The exam didn't really cover any new topics, but it threw in a LOT more little tricks that made things difficult. I'll put together a full debrief in the coming days -- I need to get some sleep tonight (dentist appointment in the morning!)

Hey congrats buddy.thats really nice...waiting for debrief :) quant getting tough, that afraids me
@intellijat his q/v split is 49/44 he has updated his profile info...:)

Fantastic score! Most of us expected you to perform extremely well, but to score in the 99th percentile is something quite special. I can't wait to read your full debrief.

And please don't forget to add your name to the list: 99-ile-clubbers-add-your-name-to-the-list-77041.html

I'm sorry everyone, I promise I'll do a debrief ASAP. Classes just started up again and I have been called in for jury duty for 12 days over the next month, so my life is CRAZY. I haven't forgotten to write it soon!!!!!

Congratulations for your score .. Can you please share your notes if possible.. Also any idea were CR,RC and SC's in GMAT exam comparable to OG later questions ( last 15-20 questions of CR,RC and SC section ) in complexity and toughness level as I heard this before...

Thanks for all the support!

For all newcomers to my thread -- I started this thread at the beginning of my studies, so the first few pages were created during my prep.

Hello everyone! I've decided to start a thread to tell the story of my GMAT journey.

I'm a current undergraduate student studying music. I also play in an internationally-known professional symphony orchestra. I'm interested in getting my GMAT out of the way because I want to apply to some sort of business school in the future.

I'm using the following books:
MGMAT complete series
PR Cracking the GMAT 2010
PR 1012
OG 11
OG 12
OG Q 2
OG V 2

I took my first exam cold a few weeks ago:
PR 1 - 710 - Q47 (33/37), V41 (35/41)

I was pretty happy to break the 700 mark without studying, but I knew that I had a lot of work to do. I had never seen DS before, so I had a lot of trouble with those questions (only got 11/15 correct) on my first practice exam.

I've gone through the entire MGMAT series, the OG V2 and OG Q2 guides, and I'm starting OG V11. I'm going to take my first MGMAT CAT in the coming days, so I'll update then.

Best of luck to everyone here on GMATClub!

I am still waiting for ur debrief dreamtheatre after more than 20 days of ur exam !!!Dont know if u will ever return with ur post on this forum!! :(
