hey guys,

So Im going to be taking the GMAT again in 2-3 weeks. I studied really hard the last time I took it (averaged 700 on my manhattan gmat practice tests) but still ended up getting a 660 on the real thing. I studied the official guide from cover to cover and did all 6 mgmat tests and the two official tests along with a testmasters course.

What do you think would be best to do to get a higher score this time around?

What was your score breakdown the first time around? Are you especially weak/strong in verbal or quant?

What was the breakdown between math and verbal? Verbal scores end up affecting your final score more than math. I'd put the majority of your study into the verbal section.

Hey,

I did pretty crappy the first time I took the test, if you ended up having to rush the last few questions on any of the sections that I think can hurt you a lot getting five in a row at the very end is pretty detrimental. One strategy I tried was to only spend at most a minute on the first few questions, not 10 minutes total on the first ten questions but no more than a minute on each of the first ten questions. The end result was that I ended up having like 30 minutes for each of the last ten questions for each section, I think this helped me a lot, as I wasn't crunched for time and was able to pull my score up, or at least keep it consistent.

^^^By the way I ended up going up about 140 points in a months time, so I think that may have been a big contributor
