Thanks thats amusing. I would love to see an updated version. Especially for those who spend all the time studying, applying, and getting into their dream school only to find out their end career prospects are worse than when they went in.

Re: The 7 phases of B-school application [#permalink]
I think there's an another phase that should be included here. I'm in at CBS and was admitted almost a month ago and won't start until late August, 2011. Though I know that the process is over now, and that I'm in...I've become both a. neurotic and b. delusional.

Having had the fortune of being admitted so early on, I have occasional freak-out sessions, wondering if something in my application was mis-worded, or if I made any mistakes. You begin to doubt the fact that you got in and since I don't start for another 10 months, I am having a hard time really believing that I'm in and the process is over. Probably explains why I still pore over MBA forums and read up on application tips. My wife is a psychologist and apparently, it's a condition. So if you applied ED and get in, be careful that this may happen to you!

Besides that, I have alot more time on my hands, and am a little bored! Hard to find motivation to go to work day in day out besides to pay the bills, but it's allowed me to possibly explore new avenues. I work in healthcare and may spend my spare time working with a friend producing a movie out here in LA.

But once you get in, relax, and really let it sink in and stop reading these message boards ;).

Re: The 7 phases of B-school application [#permalink]
While muddling in phase 6, I decided to revisit this article . Its still funny even-though, I am going through the phase 6 emotions => " I should have applied more backups" "So many interview invites out already.... I am definitely not going to get selected" .... "Hopefully I get to phase 7 in round 2"...

Back to looking up the list of schools for backups......

Definitely in Phase 6. It's awesome how I've lived exactly every of the phases described.

Hopefully the 7 will also happen...

Hahaha, very good read.

Now, this problem doesn't need to happen anymore. I just discovered this thread:

A great website to keep all your applications organized!! Excellent!
