1. What G.Tech look in applications?
GT is a niche program that places emphasis on Technology and Management. Program is only 75 per year large, so is pretty competitive. One very big factor at GT is employability. since their program is small, they can't afford to have folks unable to find jobs on the backend, so every applicant is actually interviewed not only by someone in admissions, but also by someone in their career center.
2. What kind of resume they look for?
Like all top b-schools, Tech wants to see achievement and progressively responsible experience which lends towards hitting your post-MBA goals. Again, with a small class size, they need people who can really contribute from their experience in the classroom.
5. How good is MBA from G.tech?
The Tech MBA is growing rapidly in respect. Only officially offering the degree since 2002 (prior to that, it was a MS in Management of Technology). They went from no ranking to #29 (making it into the top tier) in just a few short years. It is the equivalent of buying a stock on the rise--much potential to have a great investment long term. Some things to keep in mind, however, are that the alumni base is pretty small for the MBA program, but you will be able to tap into the 180,000 alumni from GA Tech undergrad program. Tech is a very widely recognized global academic brand, and employers think of Tech grads as smart, resourceful problem solvers.
