:lol: I think I'll choose (E). :-D (Kidding)

(A) is definitely out. It reads like the customers are issueing replacement cards.

"they" in both (C) and (D) seems to be wrong. To choose the lessor evil I'd pick (C). Since "the customer" in (D) seems to refer to a certain specific customer.

If you go for C ...shouldn't it be "he/she" instead of " they"

A looks better.

C and D do not have a clear referent for 'they'.

But A is not without fault too. A makes it sound like the customer are issuign replacement cards, instead of the banks.

Karun, can you post the entire question and let us see what other choices there are? :-D

Assuming that these are the best possible choices, I pick C because in D we have subj-verb agreement problem
d) The customer will not be responsible for transactions made with lost or stolen credit cards after they are issued replacement cards.
Should be: he (the customer) is issued...

I just substituted "they" with "your cards"

Why A is wrong?

After introduces a dependent clause...there is no verb present in there in the dependent clause starting with AFTER

The customers cannot issue replacement card for themselves so the answer A is illogical. The OA is C
