Re: GMAT after the Application submission [#permalink]
Thanks for your valuable advice. I guess i will go for R3 then. But how late is R3, considering i am a foreign applicant , however i have worked last 5 years in the US. What are the risk and chances from the R3 perspective. Although i don't target to Elite schools, but i like to be between like top 5-20 per say.

Thanks in advance

There has been plenty written about the perils of Round 3. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but Round 3 is like one of the rings in Dante's inferno: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inferno_(Dante) A place of heart break and eternal suffering. Unless your profile is exceptional and exotic and you are one of the luckiest people you know, you'd be joining a game that is pretty much already over.

Re: GMAT after the Application submission [#permalink]
Ok, Please have your take on this,
I hate to bother you again, but i do not want to give up my chances, i have strong desire for 2011.
I think I want to take GMAT and also applications to go together. Take GMAT in 4 weeks also write essays at the same time. I am sure I can hit 700 in GMAT. I will target below listed schools which have late R2 deadlines. ( If I can take a shot on, and complete in time i can make it to Harvard which is 11-jan-2011)

I have 10 years in SAP ERP and solid 5 years in US, half of that as team lead. Other half as senior consultant. My only, could be red flag is my age. I will be 34 by the time of application results.
Considering my career and personal life has changed in the past 5 years in the US ( in India right now), the things I went through , I have strong desire for MBA and for fall 2011. I mean I can write decent essays.

NYU: Stern --> 15 Jan 2011
Penn State: Smeal --> 1 Feb 2011
Boston University: --> 5 Jan 2011
Boston College: --> 15 Jan 2011

Again if I happen to slip out, that I have really valid reasons late applications. What chances I hold, keep me on the positive side.
