Excellent score. Is there a bang, bang guide for RC? I am not improving on this at all.

Dreamy: I didn't really prepare much for RC. The only RC passages I did were in the GMAT Prep tests and the MGMAT CATs that I took. I just experimented with different methods to find the method that works the best for me. I'd just advise you to read the passages completely and thoroughly while taking rough but important notes on the side. Monitor the flow of thoughts in the passage clearly and try to discern the author's attitude in the post. I started out by skimming through the passages and I used to miss like 1 in every RC question and then I started painstakingly taking notes. And when I say notes, I wrote down everything. And then it got to a point where I figured out that by writing stuff I was forcing myself to remember the flow in the passage. That's when I stopped writing stuff and instead focused on remembering the key points. When I lost track of a passage I went back a line or two to a point that I understood and tried phrasing the passage again so that I didn't lose track of the point.

I think RC is one section where you just have to buckle up and read. The gains are good though. The answers are right there. I didn't even bother going through the question types. In my mind there's three questions - inference, attitude questions or specifics. For inference, treat it like a CR question. For attitude questions you need to read the whole passage to understand where the author is coming from. And for specifics, again, having read the whole passage its easier to point out where the question is coming from. But I repeat, reading the passage simply won't cut it. You need to absorb what it's saying.

Many congratulations whiplash and all the best for the apps

1. Aristotle Prep SC Grail - Amazingly concise book that worked for me because I was only looking to go through the nuances. The facts and rules are presented in a crisp, clear manner. I paraphrased the book into some 40 bullet points which I used during my preparation.

+ 1. I found this book very useful too.

Would have asked you for those 40 bullet points had I not already taken the test :-D
