Apologies if this has been asked before.
Is it generally advisable to tackle the multiple question prompts in Essays 1 and 2 separately, or have people generally opted to write a seamless narrative that captures all of the main points? I actually prefer to respond to each question in a discreet essay - I find that this keeps my responses focused and articulate.
I wrote a narrative to answer all of the questions in one essay. My friend (Stern '11) recommended that approach.
I took a reference point to show my background and create a central theme then tied in how that inspired my short + long term goals and how stern's resources would help me (for me it was SCC and IMI)
I think breaking it up can work too but writing it all together could bring it together more as your story versus answering questions
