This is one to bookmark. Perhaps you guys can make a top 10 for the "Most Popular" section instead of just 3? Nevertheless a wonderful source of inspiration. Thanks a lot for this!

Is there a thread about WORST GMAT stories ever? Just got back from taking it... I was aiming for 550-600... usually a low score for most people here... so OK... I was taking the verbal section... and checked over time regurlaly... somehow I read Q 17/41 39 min left...so yes, it was a bit tight but I could still manage to pace myself...Then I watched the clock again... 12/41 2something/41 9 minutes left....&%*&% Ive must have somehow miscaluclated time or the first time i checked it was 29 not 39... anyway... I had to guess 10 of the last questions....I was so mad at my self... this is by far the stupidest error Ive made...

Result
Q33 (Decent for a 550)
V24 (I want to hide in a hole right now)
=480!!!

Do you think that the verbal score would have been close to 33 if I wouldnt have guessed the last 10 Q?

I guess not, but would you like to start one and keep it up?

Excellent post sirs bb and bmillan

If I may suggest an addition to this otherwise excellent collection, it is the timing strategies post by bb. I dont know what I did but on my second practice test I was worried about running out of time that I finished the first 36 questions of math with 10 minutes to spare. Obviously I made a ton of silly errors and decided to develop a strategy around pacing myself. Needless to say the post was an excellent resource as I formulated mine.

Thanks,
