I suggest you start with the Kaplan book... It will give you an over all picture of GMAT... and after you have a good understanding, you can start referring other books :)

MGMAT guides, Aristotle Prep, Kaplan, GMATClub tests, all of these are perfectly viable options

Also anything with GMAC's stamp of approval :)

Shalom
The books I have are:
The GMAT Review 11th Edition
GMAT: The Princeton Review
Manhattan GMAT: Foundations of GMAT Math
Third Edition of GMAT Answers to the Real Essay Questions
Manhattan GMAT: The Official Guide Companion to the 12th Edition
I hope you tell me that this is really all I need because I don't want to spend anymore money on other books. By the way my target score is 700. All I really need to make is a 550 or better to get into graduate school. :|

Re: GMAT Strategy [#permalink]
Shalom!
I have a question. I am new to this(studying for the GMAT). I have read some GMAT prep websites that encourage you to hire a tutor and/or sign up for a class. The GMAT Club has a lot of information that covers all aspects of the GMAT test as well as lets you ask any question relating to it. My question is why should I pay for a class or tutor services when the GMAT club offers all the information I need to do well on the GMAT?
