Re: GMAT Flashcards [#permalink]
has anyone hear successfully tried the flashcard strategy? i am struggling in quant, and willing to try anything. but how would flashcards fit into studying quant?

seems like quant relies on slowly and systematically building on a base of fundamentals. not taking little pieces at a time repeatedly until they stick.

I agree - I have not studied with these. My guess is that your best bet is to use these when you don't have other materials handy. I would definitely not replace your guidebooks with these.

Thanks so much bb and everyone that contributed to the flash cards. They come in handy in days leading to the test, for quick review of concepts, and during lunch breaks in office. Verbal and Combinations cards are really gems !!

On page 43 (Triangle 5) Answers.
Isn't the height of an equilateral triangle = "(side) * Square root of 3/2" instead of
Side x 3/2??

Could some give some color to page 63 Probability 9? I'm having a hard time understanding the math behind it. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the question - i just found a typo there in the name - should be Brian, not Brain.

I think it is correct on the slides... and it is = side*(sqrt(3))/2
not the one which you wrote here= "(side) * Square root of 3/2"

Because you are having computer or download issues...
You have 2 options to download it from: gmat club or scribd. Please try both.

Re: GMAT Flashcards [#permalink]
I love these, and are a great tool in helping me review my biggest weakness SC. However, I'm confused by a card on page 88.

 This happens when there is additional information
between the pronoun and antecedent making it easy
to lose track of the relationship between pronouns
and their antecedents.
 Incorrect: The library, with it’s many books and
databases, require a special membership.
 Correct: The library, with it’s many books and
databases, requires a special membership.

Why are you using the conjunction it's? I was always taught that its was the possessive and it's should be translated as "it is"

Which use of the pronoun is correct and why?
