I wish you luck in your journey and if you are looking for reference guides to look into, I recommend Manhattan GMAT Preparation guides to first bolster the basic and then move onto GMAT official guides to experience the real questions.

Shalom dc3828102! Todas for the good advice. I do have the Manhattan GMAT Official Guide Companion, Math Foundations, Sentence Correction, and Word Translations books. I found on Google the first 15 pages of MGMAT Numbers Properties, Critical Reasoning, and Geometry. I also have the OG and two Princeton GMAT books. Any finally I have Peterson's GMAT Answers to the Real Essay Questions. All I need to make on the test is a 550 or better to be accepted into the MBA program. With these books and the GMAT Club I shouldn't have any problems.

You really don't need to update Gmatclub this often. If you have questions post them (or posting progress with your prep). Simply announcing you are studying, or you are back is redundant.

Shalom Fellow GMAT Interns!
Shalom! I have been studying the Manhattan GMAT Word Translations book now. I am getting familiar with some of the concepts. I now took a GMAT Prep 1 and scored a 210 and I also took the MGMAT CAT 1 and scored a 320(quant 14 and verbal 19). I did a lot of guessing but did get right few questions. I think I see what I need to do: practice the strategies. Know the rules and formulas and how to apply. I took these two test in order to get a feel for what I am up against. A couple of questions I stopped and worked and got them right so I am not too discouraged. I will be taking the GMAT on July 16th. I would like to make a 650 for Belmont University. A student told me all I need is 540+.

Are you keeping an error log?

It seems you require a good deal of coverage on the basics.

Strategies supplement content, not the other way around. If you have strategies down solid but are very weak in content, your score will likely not increase.

I would start with some basic math on problem solving and arithmetic. Also, consider the GMAT Fiction thread and use your error log to determine your study plan.

Shalom Mohater,
No I am not currently using an error log but I will begin just as you suggested.
With the Manhattan GMAT Words Translations book I am getting a grip on the basics. I have a good math background:I made A's in college algebra and calculus at Belmont. I know this doesn't mean anything in relation to the GMAT but it does reveal that I have an analytical mind. I will check out the GMAT Fiction thread. By the way, I introduced this GMAT Club to two professors at Belmont. They are part of the business school. They were very impressed with it like me. Todas and keep up the good work!
