Starting my GMAT journey at 420...need some serious help!

Greetings everyone.

I recently began studying for the GMAT, but have found its going to be a steep climb for me. I have taken two practice MGMAT tests and scored the following:

Test #1: 420 (24Q, 26V)
Test #2: 420 (20Q, 28V)

I now realize I must take my studying to a whole new level, and obviously need more preparation time. I have been preparing for roughly a month, but feel that my study tactics are weak.

I was wondering if anyone could offer some sound advice and a good study plan, as I feel dead inside after scoring so low. I have been told that MGMAT books are the best to use for getting a hold of the basics. Then Kaplan Premier for more of a holistic approach to the test, and finish off with the OG the week prior to the test.

I was hoping to take the test in about a month, but now realize how unrealistic that goal is. Please help.
