Well came up with a disappointing 720, i say disappointing because i think i could have done better. My pre-Gmat test scores were
MGMAT 1 - 720
MGMAT 2 - 750
MGMAT 3 - 770
MGMAT 4 - 770
MGMAT 5 - 770
MGMAT 6 - 770
GMATPREP 1 - 700 ( 3 Weeks before the GMAT )
GMATPREP 2 - 760 ( 5 Days before the GMAT )
I went in all pepped by, trying my best to shake off the nervousness that has accompanied me to all my previous takes on the GMAT ( This was my third take ). I read some posts on GMATclub and following some advice took some extra clothing with me, in case it got COLD. Well on arriving, I was told that taking in extra clothing was not allowed. They did'nt even allow handkerchiefs to be taken inside !!!
Well anycase, so i picked up my bottle of water and started to proceed towards the entry formalities only to be told that taking water was also not allowed.
On reaching inside i found that the air conditioning was not working and the place felt like an oven. Delhi temperatures in summers go up to 48deg C .
It was hard to write on those plastic sheets with sweat dripping down all over the body.
I made an official complaint to the invigilator only to be told that they are working on it. Some how i managed to finish off my AWAs and took the break to go to the washroom and try and do away with the sweat. To my disbelief there was maintenance work going on in the washroom too and i had to stand out for 2 mins ( waste 2 mins of my break ) to get into the wash room.
Well i somehow recomposed and went in to proceed with my Quant section but the sweat killed it for me. By the time i had my second break i knew that i had messed by in my Quant and tried my best to focus on the verbal but it was too late.
Managed a 48 in Quant and a 40 in verbal !!!
After completion of the test the invigilator apologized for the aweful conditions but it was too late by then. On reaching home i shot a mail to GMAC requesting a reattempt as the excruciating circumstance caused during the test were beyond my control.
Have received a reply from them with a incident number to a case opened against my name. I hope they give me another attempt at a better facility !!!
