I'm working through the final 1/3 of the OG 12 quantitative problem solving section and it seems ridiculously easy, even though the guide says it's hard. I last (mock)tested with a 640 (39Q) so I don't usually breeze through GMAT quant problems.

Are these an accurate representation of hard problems that appear on the GMAT?

Thanks a lot bb and the entire team that created it. Big KUDOS !!

I am about to start using the OG, for questions listed on MGMAT guide #1. I was wondering if gmatclub has any resources to track and analyze my progress in OG, and as always, you guys have provided better than what I expected.

I am working on a few updates to this Guide to the Guide. Is there a list somewhere that people have developed for suggested improvements? I am by no means a wizard, but I know a few tricks and would love to contribute.

For now, I am working on something for my own benefit, described a bit in this thread:

Anyone have any requests, please feel free - will work for kudos :-D :-D

I think it would be useful to create a similar guide that was done for the 2nd edition that sorted the analysis by problem type and difficulty level :P .

Re: GMAT Club Guide to the GMAT Official Guide 13-14-15th Edition [#permalink]
Is there any news that the GMAC is releasing a new Official Guide this year? I have heard this from many people since many test takers (in India) have reported that they encountered several questions in Quantitative section that are neither at all covered nor even talked about in the Official Guide. It seems that the GMAT is changing and especially the Quantitative section since the questions have got more and more tough than what are there in the OG. As per the feedback from many test takers in the last 15-20 days, the OG stands nowhere as compared with the difficulty level of the questions in the actual GMAT.

Hey bb,
I'm facing some issues while using pivot table in the spreadsheet. Does pivot table in this spreadsheet work on excel 2008 for Mac ?

Thanks

Thanks for posting this - it is REALLY helpful. Is something similar available for the additional guides - The Official Guide for GMAT Quantitative / Verbal Review? :)

Wow - I don't know :)
I don't have a Mac or Excel 2008 - not sure how to even check it but it sounds like it may not. Sorry. Perhaps cross to the light side and use a PC? ;)

Re: GMAT Club Guide to the GMAT Official Guide 13-14-15th Edition [#permalink]
Great work ! So valuable when studying ! However I have one question concerning the critical reasoning section: the questions are classified following 2 different principals the OG and the GC. I assume GC beeing the gmatclub classification. I am reading the powerscore critical reasoning bible where there are 10 different classifications and they seem to vary a bit from the GC's is that normal? And in the Official Verbal review the spreadsheet only has the OG's classification which only have 3... I don't understand... Is there somewhere on this forum where the relation between them is explained ? I just rechecked and can't seem to find in the powescore book the mention of : "Evaluation of a plan", "Argument construction" "Argument evaluation"

thank you very much!

[strike]The pivot table in the analysis tab doesn't seem to update when I input answers into the error log section. Am I missing something?[/strike]

Nevermind, it updated after saving, closing, and reopening the document.
