That is not too old. Berkeley-Haas is obviously positioned the best for Hi-Tech.

Thank you highhopes!! I would love to be in UC-Berkley. I have always been in East coast and would be a good time to check out the west.

I see that you are in Duke. How is the school overall and can you highlight some nuances about the school that you think people would not know from the web. what is the core major Duke famous for?

28 is not old unless you intend to apply to HBS and Stanford. Also, as long as you can explain why an MBA makes sense for you at this stage of your career, it should be fine.

For tech, business schools in universities with great engineering programs are considered the best. Thats why you'll probably see that Stanford, Sloan, Haas, Ross, Duke, Johnson and Austin-McCombs are good for tech and a lot of tech firms recruit from these schools. Tuck is up there with these schools too for tech. For Strategy, almost any top 20 program will be fine.

Try looking at the employment reports and see if they break up the % of graduates who accepted offers from tech firms.

Interesting...I never knew that Duke,Ross and Cornell are up in the league for High-Tech & strategy.

Sloan & Haas is the real bet i have and Stanford would be my dream option but looking at the stats i found only 7% of the class are above 28 and it would be a real fight to get in to it.

Anyways, thanks for pitching in and i would appreciate if you can share reports on this if you come across.

Duke is most renowned for healthcare and marketing. However, current students and recent alumni will know better.

It will be tough getting statistical data on such things since tech firms do not recruit in large numbers from business schools (unlike management consulting firms). So unless a firm has not hired a minimum number of graduates from school X, its name may not be at the top of the list of firms which hired the most graduates. Some schools may not be able to give an exhaustive list of employers also. This varies from school to school.
