I truly believe that LBS will look at your whole package instead of focusing on GMAT only. If your GMAT is 700+, it would be an average level, then your extra-curriculum experiences should stand out to draw the admission committee's attention. Also, the interview part plays a very important role in your whole package.

I am not familiar with Indian education system, so cannot say whether your degree would be of any significant use in other places...u may consult the MiM recruiters for more info.

and what about the employment prospects after MiM from LBS?
and also would it be a waste of money getting the same degree i.e. MiM from say Imperial or Warwick?

Hi guys

Im 21, Indian.
Xth : 92.5%
XIIth : 90.25%
UG : B.Tech in Computer Science, Class of 2011 (GPA of 6.01 on 10)
Currently working in Accenture, since June 2011.

I'm planning on GMAT by november, and i think scores in the range of 680-690 will be realistic for me. What is the best strategy to apply, given my poor GPA in my Undergrad course?

Hey guys, I have a work experience of 16 months (passed out in June 2010) and a GMAT score of 710. I talked to the LBS guys today, and they have asked me to send in my resume and only then will they be able to take a call on it. I was told that the process would take 6-8 weeks. Upon asking that this wouldn't leave enough time to gather recommendations form my undergrad college and to write essays, i was told not to worry too much about that. If anyone can help me out in making sense of it, would really appreciate this. And also pardon my ignorance, but i have just started looking at MIMs , and if LBS doesn't work out, could you guys please let me know what other colleges are among the best in this. FT rates St. Gallens as the best, and HEC and ESCP seem to pretty good as well. Although LBS doesn't figure anywhere :/
