I would say that there is a high chance of being admitted for the following reasons:
a. We were acceptable candidates as we remained in the Waiting List for almost a year and we are now given the opportunity to be admitted on early decision. If not they would have dinged us and requested to re-apply and improve our application. I think that if they dingged us now they didn't want us never because you were not accepted for next year's class in early decision. That is not in line of remaining in the waitlist.
b. They are almost sure that we will accept as we will not apply to other schools (early decision) and probably we will be requested also an early down payment. This means that we are highly committed to LBS.
c. We do not compete with other applicants.
Anyways, there is also the probability that they would like to chose other students in the future, or the last information you sent was not good, or that they only admit a handful of applicants in early decision. However, I think this is less probable.
