I'm sure that they practice some form of FIFO, but as the article says, there are 42 student admissions fellows, and 8 admissions directors that they report to. So while the files may be handed out in a FIFO process, I think there is a lot of room for people who applied later to get invites ahead of people who applied sooner.

I hope it's not FIFO... applied 10/1 and still no invite :( ... However, Congrats to everyone receiving invites! That's great!

I read in an interview with Booth's adcom that it is FIFO. However, I applied earlier than most everyone, yet I wasn't the first to get an invite.

Anyone with late recommendations get an invite yet? One of my recommenders had a habit of submitting during the grace period...hopefully that's why my invite hasn't shown up yet.

I think so...

I'm probably going crazy but yesterday my GMAT scores went from 'Awaiting' to 'Received', but didn't receive an invite. Since all of the dings go out on the 9th I'm starting to wonder if I'm already out... AHH

Dude, I am thinking the exact same thing. Except my GMAT scores went from "Awaiting" To "Received" two days ago :(

Lets both hope for some good news tomorrow

Got an interview invite today at 12:40 CST.
Submitted half hour before the deadline on Oct 12 and my last recommendation didn't get in until Oct 21, so I doubt the FIFO process holds true in practice. Re-applicant too.

Looks like GC is getting ~10 invites/day, and with the 40-50% invites going out, it makes sense that there are 40-50 invites left to the ~140 applicants for R1, still lots of hope!

I agree. Even if Booth only interviews 40% of the R1 applicants, that would imply that there should be 38 more invites for GClubbers (assuming it's a representative sample). Traditionally, they've interviewed between 40%-50% of all applicants, so we're not even close to seeing the end of the invites.

Don't give up! Granted lower GPA and GMAT than average makes it harder, if you are high 600's and strong elsewhere you certainly have a shot and worth trying!

I don't know but using the numbers of 22% of applicants admitted and 40-50% of applicants interviewed it looks like it's just around 50%
