FINALLY! Got an invite at 9:46 am CST. Was busy with meetings and stuff, so couldn't post earlier. So incredibly relieved.

Everyone waiting for invites, hang in there guys. I thought it was over when I didn't receive an invite by last Friday, but today was to be my invitation date. Yours will come too.

I'm also re-evaluating my school choices for where i'm going to apply in R2.
But I can still hope for the rest of the week before i drown it in whiskey over the weekend (applying to wharton too)

Wow count me in too!! Received the interview invite on 1.31pm Chicago time (8.31 pm in Spain, I am a Spanish applicant). Do not lose hope guys, there is still hope until Wednesday!

Yes. All round 1 notifications will be sent out by end of business (5pm CT?) on November 9th.

I'd like to think GMAT club is a bit of an over achiever sample and also that round one gets a plethora more invites. And someone said 62 invites? I'd like to think round 1 gets at least 250 invites

Can't speak to the GMAT club population vs. the whole pool in terms of quality, but in terms of population, I think it's too small to yield 250 R1 invites. 147 people are listed as R1 applicants on the first page of this thread, so 250 invites would not even be possible.

If you're talking about the whole pool, we know from past interviews and anecdotes that approx. 30% of Booth applicants apply in R1 and 50% of applicants receive an interview. Assuming applications are flat y-o-y, we're talking about approx. 4,200 applications x 30% in R1 x 50% invited to interview = 630 R1 interviews.

From the Chicago Admissions office blog

"With the Round One mid-decision deadline approaching on November 9, I wanted to provide you with a brief update on where we are in the review process. Last week we began extending interview invitations to our Round One applicants and will continue to do so through the 9th. You will also be notified if you have not been invited to interview at this time" - update from Kurt Ahlm..

So Wednesday will see invites and dings - :twisted:

Thanks Kurt for the update.

I saw the email and thought it was an invite for a second. Now, its a matter until waiting until Wed. Given the number of invites extended over the last week to GMAT clubbers, Im not too hopeful. but...we will see!

Congrats NYYankees .. I remember you from last year's thread, we waited right till the end :) I still haven't got an invite this year but a couple more days to go. If anything, after having waited so long on the WL, this wait somehow isn't bothering me as much :)

Everyone posting on this forum seems to have a score of 750 and above :shock:

Losing hope with no invite yet at 720 :(

F/Indian/720/We : 4.5 yrs of Total with 3.5 yrs in Commercial Banking

You can't think so one-dimensionally, especially when you have a 720. That's an incredible score!
