I'm finding it difficult to identify the correct structure of sentences using parallel markers "Rather than", " from/to", "Not/ But". Can someone list few correct examples using each of the marker so that I can interpret correct usage of each of those markers.

Hi monil2100 , belated welcome to GMAT Club. :)

First, thanks for tagging. We have hundreds and sometimes thousands of posts to track. Tagging helps.

Second, in order to tag:
1) type the "@" symbol (not within quotation marks—I have to use the quotations marks because if the symbol stands alone, the platform translates it)
2) type the username right next to the symbol. No spaces in between.
3) leave ONE space after the username no matter what. If you need to use [--'s], for example, leave one space between the last letter of the username and the apostrophe

4) you can also type the username, select it, and click on "Mention this user" in the formatting options above the post. Just leave one space after the end of the name.

Finally, GMATNinja has a wonderful "Ask An Expert" topic thread.
You can find that thread HERE.

May I suggest that you find and post at least one sentence for each construction that you find difficult?
Answering verbal questions is made easier when we have actual examples to work with.

Hope that helps. :)

Hi monil2100
Also try GMATclub's idiom test, it will expose you to a group of important idioms.
It is not like conventional GMAT questions, but allows better understanding of the use of some idioms.
