Hello,

I am 41 years old (white male) and an active duty soldier. I have served in the US Army for roughly 24 years.

I have a BS in Management Studies from the University of Maryland University College (UMUC), where I graduated SCL with a 4.0 GPA.

My current GMAT score is 540 (woefully unprepared when I took it) but plan on taking it again next month after a few months of prep. I am confident I can raise the score to at least the mid 600s.

My resume is excellent and my LOR's are superb. My only real concern is my GMAT score.

My current goal is to attend Georgetown's (McDonough) part-time, evening MBA program.

Thanks!

JK

Your profile is strong with the exception of your GMAT score. Since the mid-80% range of the current Georgetown evening MBA class is 640-720, you should definitely retake the GMAT. Have your considered a prep course or at least a study guide? If you can obtain a score within the 80% range and create a strong application package then you should have a good chance of getting accepted.
