I have seen a lot of SC questions where an option is wrong because it uses the Passive Voice. Is any option which uses the Passive Voice incorrect? Or is it just less preferred than Active Voice?

Thanks!

Well its not incorrect..I have came across many questions in which the answers are in Passive voice...Its just that Active voice is preferred much more in GMAT.
If you have to choose between a grammattical error and passive voice, go for the latter

another tip

If the action is more important than the subject then passive is better - again if everthing else is gramatically correct.

Could you give me an example of this? I'm not sure what you mean...

I appreciate everyone's help!

for example

The igeneous rocks are formed after the solidification of molten lava.

who forms is not important , what and how is more important
