I'm writing a short essay about domestic violence I suffered to explaining why my grades suffered at one point. Does anyone know if it is necessary to submit police reports to validate your claims?

I have the reports, but am not sure if it is necessary or even acceptable to submit those.

Thank you!

I would agree with you NOT needing to submit these reports. Personally, the most I would do is integrate 1 line into the essay mentioning that the police were approached for help, so that adcom is aware you have these reports. My opinion. Take care!
