I've been reading ClearAdmit interview reviews and it got me thinking about phone interviews. I've posted in this forum because I believe the likelihood of having a phone interview is probably greatest for those of you not located in N.America or Europe and it seems there is a higher proportion of international applicants in this forum versus the US centric forum. Anyway...

Something I was taught a long time ago when trying to "connect" with someone over the phone who you've never met before: SMILE! :-D

For some reason, almost all nuance and tone can be lost, but if you're smiling you will sound upbeat and happy. You'll feel funny doing it, but trust me, it works. It even helps distract you from nerves. Try it out.
