I just took the GMAT and I'm wondering if I should even bother applying to b-school, or if I should just apply to a few MHA (masters in health admin) programs... I would appreciate any advice you can give!

Here is my profile:
-GPA: 2.9
-University: Ivy League, class of 2010
I don't have any grade patterns. I was just a terrible student.. I was too involved with extracurricular clubs, greek life, and working several part-time jobs. I was first generation to go to college. I have a few relevant health and non-profit experiences that led me to my first job.

- Job: Consulting (vault ranked top 3 technical consulting)
I worked as an analyst and was promoted twice in 2 years to project manager. I managed a small team, and a quarter-million dollar budget. I worked with clients from a government health agency to look into affordable care act regulations around health exchange set up and insurance laws. I also worked on a health IT project doing software maintenance and business requirements collection. On the side, I do some cost analyses on Medicare data, write proposals, manage a small team of interns. I also volunteer with the firm for the wounded warrior project, special olympics, and I'm on the outreach committee for a resource development group (approximately 200 employees) to help people who are new to the firm find what they need.

On the side, I do pro-bono consulting for local nonprofits for over a year now. These non-profits include a strategic development for a local mental health service facility, and board development for a local chapter of a national home-building non-profit. I also tried to start up a non-profit of my own but failed miserably.. might speak to that?

GMAT: took it twice. 610 in may, 690 in june (41Q, 43V, 5.5AWA)

I really wanted to do MBA with a focus on health management, or social enterprise, but I wonder if it's even worth a shot. I am completely done with the GMAT and don't want to take it again, because I'm awful at standardized tests and have been studying too long.. too depressing..

My target schools WERE Haas, Yale, Anderson, and Kellogg but at this point, I'm thinking of only trying for Anderson, but that might be too much of a stretch. I could emphasize some quant and leadership experience from work.

I would appreciate any advice, and I can definitely provide follow up information. Thank you!!

Life begins at the edge of your comfort zone.

Appreciate the +1!
