I plan to apply to grad school for Fall 2008 which affords me the opportunity of retaking the exam if necessary. I didn't expect to do as well on my first try and now I face the dilemma of whether to take the exam again. I am shooting for top 10 and I am not certain how much I can raise my score or the proper way to do it.
In addition, if you think I should retake please let me know what the best options are. I spoke to
Manhattan GMAT and they said the regular course may be a retread for me. I originally took Kaplan. I have also considered Veritas Test Prep.
I have obviously bounced around in my career but I have been told that having an entertainment background may be an asset. I am very interested in studying entrepreneurship. Columbia and NYU are at the top of my list but there are several other schools I would like to consider that are in the top 10.
Furthermore, I am considering doing City Year or a similar program and I wonder how that might impact my potential for acceptance. I am open to any suggestions, questions, or criticisms. I studied hard for the exam and for the most part that is the extent of my research.
I am most appreciative to hear anything from a knowledgeable voice.
Thanks again.[/quote]
