Also, I had to leave my job in March 2013 due to health issue of my Dad so I have been out of work for around 3 months as of now. Can this have a serious impact on my profile?
You have average profile with decent GMAT and work experience. Your profile is diverse as you come from Manufacturing background so everything on your profile is good enough, but low on GMAT might be a weakness so try to retake GMAT and target 700+ in GMAT to increase your chances for your shortlisted b-schools. Along with GMAT you should also start working on your applications which require substantial brainstorming and thinking which requires good amount of time. Your profile looks good to apply for US b-schools as well so consider applying to US programs. But focusing on your application and starting early is the key to success so get started. Let me know if you have any questions...
