Hi Rmadaan,

To start, this 650 shows that you're a fairly strong critical thinker - which is good. However, many Test Takers spend 3 months (or more) of consistent study time before they hit their 'peak' scores, so if you've studied for just a few weeks, then you should not expect to have mastered any of the concepts or Tactics just yet. Since your next Test is in less than a week, you have to be careful about trying to 'cram' in too much study time - you might inadvertently 'burn out' before your next Exam (and that's something that we want to avoid).

Before I can offer you the specific advice that you’re looking for, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on your timeline and your goals:

1) What is your goal score?
2) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
3) What Schools are you planning to apply to?

Hi Rich,

Thanks for replying and for your advice on avoiding the ‘burn out’ before the exam.

Answering your questions :

1. I am targeting a score of at least 700

2. I am primarily targeting ISB

3. I am aiming for the upcoming batch, starting in 2019.

Hi Rmadaan,

"Review" is an exceptionally important part of the GMAT training process; your ability to define WHY you're getting questions wrong is essential to defining the areas that you need to work on (and the specific things that you need to 'fix'). Since your 630 is relatively close to the 650 that you scored on the Official GMAT, we might be able to learn a bit more about how you 'see' the Exam by reviewing your performance on that CAT. While a full Mistake Tracker would provide a lot more information, there are some basic questions that you should be able to answer (and the more EXACT you can be with your answers, the better):

After reviewing each section of that CAT, how many questions did you get wrong....
1) Because of a silly/little mistake?
2) Because there was some math/verbal that you just could not remember how to do?
3) Because the question was too hard?
4) Because you were low on time and had to guess?
5) How many Verbal questions did you 'narrow down to 2 choices' but still get wrong?

Hi,

What was your Quant and verbal breakup in your mock tests? And did you order ESR?
Looking at Q47 I will say there will still be 2-3 weaker areas where you will need to focus on. This coupled with proper timing and practice in all other topics to increase your hit rate should do the trick for you and you should be able to push your score to Q49-Q50.
